(she/her/they/them)

Michelle is incredibly excited to be a part of Brampton’s Own Shakespeare Show and representing artists in the Peel Region! Michelle is an actor and artist with a BFA in Acting from the University of Windsor. Although trained for the stage, Michelle has worked on screen and behind the scenes as a writer, director, and producer. Much of her art focuses on themes such as mental health, gender and sexuality, class division, and feminism. She enjoys creating things that toe a fine line between what we find beautiful and what we find horrific and pairing Classical themes with modern elements. In 2023, she will be developing her original Clown show “Camp Menses” with her friend, co-writer, and collaborator Elm Reyes - graciously supported with a theatre development grant from the Ontario Arts Council. Michelle’s development has also been supported through the Career Catalyst: New Generation Artists Award and a Recommender Grant under Theatre Passe Muraille, both granted under the Ontario Arts Council in 2022. In the Fall, Michelle will be making her directorial debut with The Flare Productions and goofing around somewhere on CBC Gem!
